I always ask myself....Why do I pretend to be stupid even though I'm not?
My friends says ... more likely than not, my "stupidity" is just a social reaction, trying to be as invisible as possible. Not a lot of people enjoy being in the spotlight, and with today's society is it easier to blend in than stand out.
On the other hand, acting deliberately stupid could be a method of drawing attention to myself. Perhaps I feel that others don't like me unless I act stupid, or maybe I got ostracized for being a "teacher's pet" or made fun of for being too smart. Trust me, there is most certainly no such thing as being "too smart"!
The best way for me to overcome this is to remind myself constantly, "I am smart". Talk to one of my close friends about the situation. Help him to reinforce mine intelligence. But above all, believe that I am are not stupid and won't be!
